Youngcare is a national not-for-profit, revolutionising the way young people with high care disability live. We are creating a more inclusive Australia by empowering industry, government and community to work together and challenge the way society views disability.
We develop aspirational Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA), advocate for much-needed policy change, deliver vital grants programs, and provide education, advice and pathways through our free support service.
We are committed to supporting young people’s choice to live young lives in quality housing. Youngcare’s building program designs and develops age-appropriate housing solutions where young people with high physical support needs can live young lives with choice, independence and dignity in their own homes.
To date, Youngcare has led the way across Australia in designing premium residential solutions for young people with high physical support needs. For years we have been working and partnering with architects, developers and residents to help young people living in, or at risk of entering inappropriate housing, but there is still a significant gap in specialist disability accommodation housing in Australia.
We have learnt that there is not a one-size-fits-all solution; we are dedicated to providing the right solution for the right situation.
