The story of Jakins Care Services begins with the personal experience and determination of our founder, Liz Jakins. After her son Joel suffered a major spinal injury in his late teens, Liz found herself navigating the complex world of the NDIS to find the necessary support and services for her son. Her firsthand encounters with the challenges and frustrations of the system inspired her to make a difference in the lives of people with disabilities and their families.
Initially, Liz began offering NDIS plan management services within her existing business, Jakins Accounting, applying her professional expertise to help clients manage their NDIS funding. However, she soon recognised the need for more comprehensive service provision and founded Jakins Care Services as a sister business to Jakins Accounting. Embracing the motto "people helping people," Liz's vision was to create a supportive environment where clients could access a wide range of services with a caring and compassionate touch.
Today, Jakins Care Services focuses on providing support coordination, care workers, cleaning services, and yard and maintenance services for NDIS participants. Upholding Liz's vision, we prioritise a people helping people approach to deliver personalised, compassionate, and high-quality services that empower our clients to live fulfilling and independent lives. At Jakins Care Services, we are committed to making a positive impact on the lives of those we serve and ensuring they have the choice and control they deserve.
